The Problem
Our client approached us, requiring a searchable web database of jury verdicts in the state of Alabama. With such a large and growing dataset, it meant that the platform must be scalable and offer refined data importation mechanisms that included recording new court cases as they opened. With our experience in database and website development, we at Idea Maker, accepted our client’s challenge.
Our Solution
We took advantage of our expert knowledge in the Python-based framework, Django, to build a robust database capable of storing and retrieving high volumes of data. We also designed several attractive marketing pages to help our client present their database to the public.
What We Did
We created an admin portal that enabled administrators to manually input new jury verdicts to the database using parameters taken from a Civil Court Sheet.
In addition to allowing administrators to input jury verdicts, we also enabled public users to submit jury verdicts using the website using a similar mechanism to admins.
